If you would like to attend an Evening Parade on 2 July 2021, complete the on-line registration. This is a one hour and fifteen minute performance of music and precision marching, the Evening Parade features "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, "The Commandant's Own" The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, the Marine Corps Color Guard, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, Ceremonial Marchers, and Cpl. Chesty XV, the official mascot of Marine Barracks Washington.
Guests with reservations are admitted beginning at 7:00 p.m. and should arrive no later than 7:45 p.m. Guests with reservations that arrive after 8:00 p.m. are not guaranteed their reserved seating. Complete the registration form & an electronic invitation will be sent to you with your reservation information.
Unfortunately, there are no public parking spaces provided by Marine Barracks Washington. However, metered parking is available in southeast D.C. near the barracks. MBW encourages the use of public transportation (Uber, Lyft, taxis, and metro) for guests attending the Friday Evening Parades. Directions to the Barracks can be located on the “Parade Directions” tab.
Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., is within easy walking distance (four blocks south) of the Metro's Eastern Market exit (blue/orange/silver lines) at Pennsylvania and 8th Street, SE. A variety of restaurants and shops are conveniently located along the way to the "Oldest Post of the Corps."
Due to weather, parades can be cancelled. Because Marine Barracks Washington D.C. is dedicated to showcasing ceremonial excellence, typically a Sunset or Evening Parade will not be canceled until right before show time.
