MCRA Participation in Veterans Day 2024

Murfreesboro, TN Honors Veterans with Community-Wide Ceremony

Murfreesboro, TN – The entire city of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County united to honor veterans on Veterans Day. The Association was privileged to participate in the morning ceremony, with Board Member Andrew Farrer serving as Master of Ceremonies and delivering the invocation.

The event featured several significant moments:

• Color Guard: Rolling Thunder, TN 1 presented the Colors

• Pledge of Allegiance: Led by the Trail Life Troop

• National Anthem: Movingly performed by Mrs. Lauren Spencer

• Remembrance Wreath: Presented by the Murfreesboro Sons of the American Revolution

• Keynote Address: LtCol David A. Young, USAF (Ret), delivered a powerful speech commemorating the sacrifices of those who have served.

This community-wide event underscored the profound gratitude and respect for our nation’s veterans.
