Modern Day Marine

Washington, DC

The 2024 version of MDM was a tremendous success for the Marine Corps Association, Marine Corps League & The Association. For the first time, The Association's booth was positioned next to the Main Briefing stage which ensured maximum visitation from Marines. What made it even better was we were positioned next to The Tun Tavern booth, which even drew additional Marines. The day started at 0800 & would go until 1600.

Questions would vary. "What is the Marine Corps Reserve Association?" "I have never heard of the MCRA", "How can I become a member of the MCRA?",  "I'm currently on active duty, tell me about what it is like in the Reserves", "Is there a reserve unit in ....", "can I transfer into a new MOS if I go into the Reserves?" "I'd like to come back into the Marine Corps, can I join the Reserves now?"

You can see from the questions there was a lot of one on one time with Marines. There was a great deal of excitment from every visitor that stopped by the booth. All those that worked at the booth met a great number of people. We were also able to attend a number of the presentations at the expo which made it even better.
