In his first speech as the new Commander for MarForRes/MarForNorth during the ceremony, McMillian thanked the crowd for their presence, expressed his excitement and hopes for his new position, and addressed the Marines under his leadership. “I am very proud to be standing here as your CG" said McMillian. “I am looking forward to the next two years and to the opportunity to get to know all of you and to serve with you, Semper Fidelis.”
Early in the morning on August 7, 2015, golfers and supporters gathered at the Ft. Belvoir golf course to participate in this year’s MCRA annual golf tournament in partnership with the Semper Fi Fund.
The annual golf tournament has been a hallmark event for the MCRA for many years and has contributed significant donations, which have supported our nation’s wounded warriors. This year, corporate sponsorship, participation, and donations were at an all time high!
Additionally, the Marine Corps Reserve Association was proud to host the First Lady of the Marine Corps.

The Marines of 3/23 decided to do something unique to commemorate and honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this great nation over the Memorial Day weekend. These Marines went on a 65 mile hump over a 30 hour period. As they humped from south of Hot Springs, AR to the veterans cemetery in North Little Rock, AR they were meet by Marines - family members of Marines and friends of Marines. At the entrance of the ce...metery they were also welcomed & met by members of the Marine Corps League, former Marines, parents, and friends.
BN CO & Life Member, LtCol Alexander “Sander” Snowden was leading the way with his Marines. Look close & you will see him wearing the MCRA T-SHIRT. We are fortunate that the defense of this country is in such dedicated and capable hands. To the Marines of 3/23 and LtCol Snowden well done & a big Oorah!
