3 March, 1968 The Battle of Hue City ends. The heavy enemy commitment of forces at Hue reflected the high value placed upon the city's capture by the NVA. The subsequent battle for the city was a bitter affair and constituted a major portion of the overall fight for control that occurred after the Tet Offensive began on the night of 30 January 1968.
