2019 MCRA GOLF TOURNAMENT The MCRA began the golf tournament in 1997 to ensure Marine Corps Reserve leadership and industrial leaders had an opportunity to mingle. The funds raised were given to the Association for operating expenses. Once the events of 9/11 occured, we knew there was a higher calling for the purpose of this event. These events caused us to shift the focus of the tournament, from us to those who have given so much. In 2009 a decision was made to change the focus of this event to support the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment as combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan were intensifying. However, because of the complexities of donating to this organization, after two years we made the decision to donate the funds to the Semper Fi Fund. Our 2019 tournament will be the fifth year, 23rd year we have held the tournament, all funds raised will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund! In 2018, we raised $52,000 and we are hoping to break that record this year. We look forward to seeing over 100+ registered attendees at this year's tournament.
