This week, the MCRA proudly witnessed Board Member Andrew Ferrar bestow well-deserved honors upon outstanding cadets and leaders at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN. In a special ceremony, Mr. Ferrar had the distinct privilege of presenting certificates and medals from both the esteemed Military Order of the Purple Heart and the patriotic Sons of the American Revolution to deserving cadets. The Association also celebrated a significant milestone for Cadet Hudson MacNeal, who capped off his impressive JROTC career by earning a full JROTC Scholarship. The MCRA extends its heartfelt congratulations to Hudson on this remarkable achievement. Demonstrating his commitment to these young leaders, Mr. Ferrar further supported Hudson's aspirations by providing recommendation letters to the prestigious US Naval Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Air Force Academy. The recognition extended beyond the cadets, as Mr. Ferrar also presented Certificates of Commendation and a financial contribution to the Blackman High School JROTC Battalion. These honors were awarded to the JROTC Leadership: Chief Warrant Officer 3 Eric Hopper, Sgt 1st Class Merino, and Rutherford County Director of Army Instruction, Col Jeffrey Gaylord, in appreciation of their dedication to shaping future leaders.
